The Baird Institute Museum

this impressive 19th century property lies in the centre of the town of Cumnock, and was opened in 1891. The Museum houses important collections and artefacts relating to the history of Cumnock and the Doon Valley area. Discover maps, newspapers, photographs, books, textiles, Mauchline Boxware, Cumnock Pottery and audio-visual materials that reflect the local and social history of the area. One room is dedicated to Keir Hardie, found of the Labour Party and contains many of his personal belongings.

Continually changing exhibitions and displays appeal to all ages and interests.
