Scotland's premier racecourse, Ayr stages fixtures all the year round - jumps in the winter and flat in the summer.
Ayr is home to the two biggest racing festivals in the calendar - April's Coral Scottish Grand National Festival and the William Hill Ayr Gold Festival in September. Both occasions attract thousands of racegoers to the town and surrounding areas.
At these Festivals top jockeys and horses compete for the prizes and the leading races are shown all over Europe on terrestrial television with all other racing at Ayr screened by Racing UK .

Champagne GH Mumm Ladies Night in August and William Hill Ladies Day Final in September are just two of the meetings where the Best Dressed Ladies can win coins and a place in the aforementioned Ladies Day Final when every coin holders draws a horse running in the William Hill Ayr Bronze Cup on Ladies Day and the lady with the winning horse wins a Vauxhall Corsa Limited Edition from Kerr & Smith, runner up lands a holiday in Dubai courtesy of Stewart Travel and third place wins a piece of jewellery from Alex Cairncross.
At all of the 27 meetings at Ayr there is entertainment after racing including an appearance from The Overtones on Champagne GH Mumm Ladies Night.
Facilities on track are also amongst the finest in racing ranging from the Roman Warrior Fine Dining Restaurant to the Chancellor Carvery Restaurant and Private Boxes and from the lush Champagne Gardens to the Ayrshire Suite Grandstand Sports Bar.
